This is an interesting quilt. The blocks are all made of embroidered french knots in various shades of the same color of thread. The blocks were made in a "quilt as you go" fashion with batting between the layers. The blocks were then layered with batting again and then with backing. The request was for a smaller stipple to hold the project together. Click on image for full view.

Custom quilted, stitch in the ditch, individual block treatments, and individual sashing treatments. The last picture shows the back of the quilt. This is a good example of using the same color thread when you have a different back and front. The back was very dark and the front was white. By deciding to use white I avoided "pokies" which is almost impossible to avoid at some stage when you have such different fronts and backs plus this gives some nice "thread art" on the reverse of the quilt.
